so this has nothing to do with your current post, but being computer near illiterate, i didn’t figure out how to post it where it belonged.
so i’m in utah right now, and i’m even in utah county and attending church here. so last sunday i decided to look around and actually notice what kind of clothing the women were wearing. no one wore anything particularly fashionable. a couple of the younger gals wore some tops with those modest undershirts, but all the older ladies 40+ looked like they shop at the thrift store or at walmart. there were varying styles but not of them hip.
so i don’t know what all of the comments about utah and utah county and mormons being stylish and judging each other were about. i wore a stained shirt, i didn’t brush my hair cause i ran out of time, and i didn’t put any make up on. i don’t remember if i wore a bra. still about 10 people came and talked to me and gave me hugs, and told me they loved my testimony, and some guy asked if i wanted to have home teachers even though i’ll only be here a couple of months. so where are the judgmental Mormons that you keep talking about????? and where is this dress code to fit in????

Sylwia — did you ever read the blog Seriously, So Blessed? It was a parody of Utah Mormon Mommy blog/lady lifestyle. If you haven’t ever encountered the Barbie Mormon, awesome.
One thing that has surprised me as I get older is that I turn out to have more in common or am able to become friends with ladies who maybe earlier in my life I would’ve assumed were too cool/trendy for me. So yeah — appearance tells us almost nothing about what people are really like inside, right?

Oh, and the comments close after a week now because I was getting so much spam, so that was why you couldn’t comment on the earlier post.

Those gorgeous chubby thighs! And oh, how hard would that be wrangling a wee one who wants to explore, and not watch her big sister swimming (am assuming this ties in to the pics on twitter)
@jenniebakesalot My babies get pretty used to it, pretty fast. Had a friend whose baby's heartbeat in utero was super fast, had to abstain. 2 hours ago

@jet_set And it works bec that first week or so coincides with pain medication that takes care of withdrawal headaches. 4 hours ago
@jet_set Interesting. I've drunk
Mtn Dew while nursing each time, but I always go off it the first few months so I can sleep at odd times. 4 hours ago

Well, at least if she hits her head on the cement bleachers she’ll pass out and that’s sort of like sleeping, right?
