Start all the clocks, get on your Sunday best
Let the dogs bark, let them wake us from our rest
Strike up the organ, the choir shout Hurray!
For He is risen, and is not where He lay.
Pink-gloved daughters, sons in pastel ties
Full of sugar, sticky fingers, high happy cries
Scribble with crayons the message of joy:
We are rescued from death and Satan’s decoy.
He is our North, our South, our East and West.
Our daily Savior, by whom we’re blessed.
Forgiver of sins, comfort for pain
Sweet mercy when we deserve disdain.
Dress the house and light every light
Hallelujah to the Lord and to His might.
For death is conquered, and sin can be
If I so choose, and remember Thee.

So this is actually in response to the Penelope Trunk article you shared. Yikes. Mostly she just seems pissed with the world. In many respects her tone is similar to Rush Limbaugh’s (or whoever from as far left as Rush is to the far right). The just rant and rave about how much everything is going to hell. The truth is that anywhere from 0-100% of what they say is going to be true. The problem is that you never know what percent is going to be there, so unfortunately I just can’t believe any of it. I was going through Penelope Trunk’s blog and many of the articles are just so one-sided that they almost sound like propaganda. Now I understand that being at home is really frustrating (and no, I don’t fully understand how frustrating because I haven’t done it, but I get a taste of it from talking with Melinda), but all I ever hear is from her blog is the crappy part of it and how people are just fooling themselves if they like it. It gets old. That being said, I do enjoy your blog because you have the frustrating parts as well as the good parts and I feel like you’re able to see both sides and aren’t so polemic. Kudos to you.

What a lovely message. Our message on Sunday was “He is not here… He is HERE!!” Meaning His work is HERE and being done every day. It was wonderful.
Happy Easter to the whole Dick & Jane family!
