Not really. Or if they have, I didn’t hear about it. But Dooce is running ads for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). I am a Mormon, and I love Dooce. These things are not incompatible in my little world, but only because I am complex like that.
Does the church know who Dooce is? Does Dooce remember who the church is? I am SO confused.
I told you I needed therapy; I just didn’t know it would be for Internet Dissonance.

It could be one of those weird ad mistakes. A friend of mine who’s really liberal had Google Ads on her blog, and about fainted when she saw they were inviting her readers to subscribe to Newt Gingrich’s free newsletter.

Too funny!
Dick also thought this was probably just a target-ad-keyword thing gone wrong, but I disagree because I think both parties are too careful/purposeful to entirely trust their advertising to an ad network. I would expect the church to not want to advertise on “anti” sites, and I expect that Dooce customizes in order to optimize her profit. I don’t think either of them would want to be at the mercy of a computer-generated ad program.
Of course, I could be wrong.
