Bonnie from “Simple Beauty” told me to come have a taste of these cookies, and boy am I glad I did!
Those chocolate cookies look scrumptious and as for the “oreo” filling, um i don’t know… how many calories is in it i wonder? i’m trying to be careful with sweets, because man o man do i EVER have a tooth that’s just completely a sugar cube! (Psss, I have a sweet tooth.) The “homeade oreos” do look good!!!

Bonnie sent me over from her blog to have a look at this recipe. My son (14) is a HUGE Oreos fan – so much so that received 4 packages of Oreos as a birthday gift this year! I think I’ll give these a try and see what the expert thinks.

If I have purloined this recipe from (besides Allrecipes) the Amish, please let me know whom I should credit. I was just so happy to find recipes that didn’t involve cake mix for the cookie — as far as I know the Amish do not use cake mix, so please, enlighten me if you get a chance.
