And it's all so true - we do all need a little privacy and alone time. I love having my computer and desk in the middle of the house because I can take care of everything in my life at once. But sometimes I wish I had a little office or space of my own where I could retreat and close the door. It would have to be soundproof. And the doors would have to fit tight enough to discourage anything slipped underneath. I can see why this article resonated with you and why you finally became sympathetic to the wife.
