This morning as I slapped together Sally’s PB&J on whole wheat (naturally) and she grabbed a fruit cup and some yogurt, and then begged for a treat, and not the vegetable kind, she said she needed a napkin today. News to me, that she uses a napkin to eat yogurt, but I’m happy to discourage the use of her sleeves as a mouth-wiper.
She said Penny’s mom writes i love you, xo on her napkin everyday. So I thought I’d be sneaky and write some cute message on hers while she ate her pancakes. But we’re not that subtle around here. Sally handed me the napkin and asked if I could write the same on hers. So I got out my black sharpie and wrote i love you even more, XOXOXOXOXO. We’re not competitive around here, either.

very funny
ha. i like that. very clever.
hey, where’s my napkin with cool messages written on it? I would love that.
hey your “recent comments” are gone. That’s the best feature that doesn’t work on blogger!
My mom used to write notes on my napkin in my lunches as well. I used to love it and hide it at the same time.
The other kids used to make fun of me, so I would hide my napkin note so they wouldn’t see.
God, I wish I had one of those notes now…
