There’s nothing like three positive strep tests, an ear infection and two gallons of amoxicillin to make you think you might could be a bit more patient with owwie kids.
I don’t know what it would take to make me more sympathetic with a non-trash-taking out Dick, though. Maybe something life-threatening.

It is so much harder on a mom to take care of sick kids! I had forgotten this. It creeps up on you and then when they’re suddenly okay again you actually can get something done without kids moaning and crying and hanging onto your legs as you try to walk.
