Cassie gets that a lot too. I had a cable guy ask me once, when he was doing a house call, if both of mine were both mine. It caught me off guard. But I figured maybe he just was trying to make small talk and didn’t quite know how.
lol! I love reading your blog, Shannon! Yes we definitely need to get together for game night, it has been way too long. I guess we can talk at Lil’ Sean’s b-day party Saturday. I can’t wait to see you guys!
HA HA I was just going to write get that all the time, Marie beat me to it. In fact on Tuesday while in the elevator at my speech therapy for Aidan, I got “wow all boys?” Well duh “yes I reply sweetly” “all yours?” again as sweet as punch “yep all mine” and then my favorite question, “all the same daddy?” I wanted to say “what do you think?” but I smiled and said why yes, 14yrs he has been stuck with me. I love it when they ask those questions LOL. I’ve had people ask Taylor my oldest if all of his brothers were really his brothers, and he looked at this lady and said “huh? if they are my brothers how could they not be really my brothers?” Sometimes people amaze me.
Marie–you’re probably right on the small-talk thing. can’t get upset with people wanting to be friendly.

Cassie–dude!! i would be soooooo offended if someone asked me the “same daddy?” question, but then, maybe i am easily offended. but, man, i can’t believe people ask you that. and what if you’d been widowed or had adopted or anything else that would make it so they DIDN’T have the same father–would that be anyone else’s business or something that you’d want to emphasize to the kids all the time. holy cow!
