Animals, Animals, Water!

Three of our favorite places to go as a family are the zoo, the beach and Busch Gardens (BG). Lest any of you fear we are living the UMC lifestyle on an MC budget, you will be happy to know that we cancelled our cable for the BG passes. We (I) also moved our one TV (a 19 inch, 15-year-old hand-me-down — thanks Great Uncle Ed!) into the master bedroom. This cuts down on certain kids sneaking out in the early mornings to watch TV and then throw tantrums when it’s time to get ready for school, and it discourages the parents (Dick) from staying up late to watch movies. Because, as you know, bedrooms are for sleeping, not TV watching.

This does create a problem on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons when certain parents would like to sleep(!) uninterrupted by kids curious about love bugs and other natural phenomena. Luckily our TV is small, so perhaps we can work out a weekday/weekend arrangement.

Last Saturday we went to the zoo, and yesterday I took hooligans #2 and #3 to the aquarium with Danielle and Dannielle.

Spot sometimes looks at Dick funny when he first gets home from work. I don’t know how that would feel. I do know how it feels when I am ready to hand her over immediately to him because I feel like I’ve been nursing for the past 6 years straight. (I haven’t).

Sally is willing to help Susan 99% of the time; how she goes about it, though…

The secret to doing things outdoors in summer: hats, sunscreen and water.

Cool effect, huh? Look who listens to Daddy.

Notice how my girls just sit there. Tank (Liam) is all over the place. Although, you can just barely see Susan in the upper-right-hand corner of the bottom right picture. She loved the water slide, though the speed surprised her every time.

totally unrelated, but fun to read
