Dick flew to Seattle, from where he’ll drive to Vancouver, BC, today to attend and present at a conference for tech writers. He’s presenting on blogging–and he knows a lot about it; anyone who can deal with my technological frustrations must be a genius. If you haven’t been to his site, you should (link on our blogroll on the right). He has subscribers and commentators up the whazoo.
And I have to thank him for nagging me into blogging. It soothes the repressed English major deep in my soul. Bless Dick for knowing she still exists!
I’ve been scanning in old wedding photos recently; unlike those Arizonians, and others married since videocams were invented, we never had a wedding movie. Well, big deal, now we have a wedding slideshow. You can view it here. Parents magazine (thanks, Tara) recommends onetruemedia.com for photo arranging/sharing, but I find it much less user-friendly than rockyou.com (of course, I also didn’t have Dick to yell at, I mean ask for help, so that could be a factor too).
I think it will tell a lot to see when (if–he better!) Dick checks out what we’ve been up to while he’s gone.

Hello Dear Shannon,
I’m writing to you from the top (the 31st floor) of the Marriott Pinnacle hotel in Vancouver, looking out over the water and little cars below me. But your blog posts and movies are far more interesting to look at.
I absolutely love the life you’ve given to this blog. I agree with what you say — you are a repressed English major who is coming out of her shell again through your writing on this blog. It makes me remember our times back at BYU. I guess once people get married, they stop writing to each other. At least through this blog, I can see your literary self again. I love reading your writing. You have a concise, witty way of expressing your ideas.
I also like the Rockyou slideshows. They make this blog really appealing, esp. with the music. I’m really grateful Sean loaned me his laptop this week. It’s been interesting learning my way around a Mac. The internet speed isn’t so hot here, though, despite the $15/day charge.
I need to sleep now. I’ve been up too long and my head hurts.
